This is a photo of the lighthouse on Capo d'Otranto, the easternmost point of Italy. The lighthouse was built in 1817, and abandoned in the 1970s. However, the lighthouse was reopened to tourists in 2008. This lighthouse is one of five lighthouses protected by the European Commission. In good weather, you can see the coast of Albania from here.
