The Ascensor da Bica is a funicular in Lisbon that runs as a tram from Largo do Calhariz to the Rua de São Paulo. The funicular was put into service on 28 June 1892. It was designed by Raoul Mesnier de Ponsard and has been a national monument since 19 February 2002.
