This photo is already from 2012. The wooden walls in the background were temporary due to restoration of the Palais Royal behind.
The columns invite creative photography and to look for surprising combinations in the interplay of lines. For the photographer, it's just a shame that the low columns also lend themselves perfectly as seating areas. So the square is actually always full of people.
When I had finished taking photos and was already walking towards the exit of the square, I suddenly saw this little boy walking. In a reflex, I took this picture. And in retrospect, it turned out to be the most exciting photo of the whole series.
I have had this photo hanging at home for years on 90 cm wide Xposer. Because of the matte print of Xposer, the photo looks almost surreal. Many people think it is a computer graphic. But it is in fact a real photograph.
My grandfather was a photographer. So was my father. My brother and I continued this family tradition. We could not(s) do otherwise....
