About the artwork

Lizards, a diverse group of reptiles, vary widely in size, shape and lifestyle. These cold-blooded animals are found in diverse habitats ranging from arid deserts to humid rainforests, and have adapted to a wide range of environments around the world.

A well-known group of lizards are the geckos, often recognised by their adhesive legs and vertical pupils. Found in both tropical and subtropical regions, geckos are able to climb walls and ceilings thanks to the millions of tiny hairs on their legs, which harness intermolecular forces.

Another striking lizard is the chameleon, known for its ability to change colour and independently moving eyes. Chameleons are often found in trees and bushes, where they feed on insects with their extendable tongues.

Lizards play a crucial role in ecological balances by controlling insect pests and often serve as prey for predators. As pets, lizards can be a fascinating addition to the lives of reptile enthusiasts, depending on the species. Providing a suitable terrarium with the right temperature, humidity and nutrition is essential for the well-being of these captivating animals. Be it the graceful gecko, colourful chameleon, or any other species, lizards are an intriguing part of the reptile family.

What are the delivery times?

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
