About ‘Loading’ by Erik Buitenhuis

The photograph was taken in the old smithy in Thesinge

I thought the irregular pattern of the drawers beneath the workbench made for a lovely image. To me, the handmade drawers symbolise the craftsmanship of the ancient trade of blacksmithing.

For the ‘Thesinge in Beeld 2021’ project, my theme was ‘ 'in detail'.…

I love travelling, ice skating and photography. I did a lot of the latter whilst travelling, but having taken part in a few photography projects, I now view photography differently and make different choices.

I’m an amateur but enjoy sharing my work with others, for a small fee (the vast majority of the costs are for materials and processing).
