About ‘Lonely Portugese Fisherman on the beach’ by Tessa Manu Photography

While walking on the beautiful and wide beach of Ericeira on Portugal's west coast, I saw this fisherman casting his rod into the sea. Using his long line, he fishes from the beach directly out of the raging sea. Portuguese fishermen are incredibly proud of their techniques.

The image exudes warmth and calm through the earthy colours of the beach and cliffs. It almost looks like the sky merges into the sea. It is a minimalist yet detailed scene.

Last winter, I lived and worked from Portugal for a few months. It is one of my favourite countries, because of its nice climate, beautifully wild coast, the possibility of surfing, delicious food, beautiful music and nice people. All these things come together in the idyllic coastal town of Ericeira.

This picture will look great as an eye-catcher above the sofa in the living room, on the wall in the bedroom, or as an inspiring piece of art in the office.

What are the delivery times?

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
