About ‘Lotus pond in Hoi An’ by Frank Photos

This lotus-covered pool is a veritable oasis of peace nestling in the heart of Hoi An, Vietnam's ancient port city and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Lotus flowers, symbols of purity and spiritual elevation in Asian culture, float gently on the surface of the peaceful green water. Their presence lends the site a meditative and poetic dimension.
Framed by cobbled paths and carefully tended vegetation, the pool is an invitation to calm and contemplation. Around it, tropical trees and stone lanterns complete the serene scene, evoking the aesthetics of traditional Asian gardens. This type of pond is often associated with temples or ancient residences, where water and flowers were used to create a balance between nature and architecture.
