Spring has begun again, the Scottish Highlanders are having calves again, mostly red/brown, but sometimes there is a black calf or a blond calf. The motherly love is not less, the calves are protected for 100%, very beautiful to see. This blond calf is only a few days old, is not yet numbered, will be done later to care for and protect the herd as well as possible. These Scottish Highlanders walk in nature reserve Huis ter Heide in De Moer near Tilburg in the Netherlands. The area is managed by Natuurmonumenten. It is a place where I like to come, especially every week, I think the cattle know me by now.
