Maasvlakte rowers at full speed
High speed the rowers punt and a flat water. The speed is there in the huge bow wave and the pit behind the oarsmen's punt. Someone holds on by the door the skipper on the seat.
The rowers are a staple in the port of Rotterdam. The Maasvlakte with its vast harbours where the rowers have to sail quickly to and from. The big ocean-going vessels are always in a hurry the time pressure is high. The rowers traverse the harbour landscape with great haste. And that produces beautiful harbour pictures's. I am always amazed when they pass by in their rowing vlets. And always in wind and weather, these men of the harbour are on the move.
