This floral nature shot was taken in the late afternoon hours of 6 April 2014 on the sunny island of Sicily. The enchanting flower motif of a magical magnolia blossom was captured with the NIKON D90. The warm, spring-like sunlight lends the motif a radiant, harmonious atmosphere. It is perfect for all living spaces and conjures up a natural, pleasant mood in the room.
Magnolias (Magnolia) are a genus of plants in the magnolia family (Magnoliaceae). It contains over 350 species, all of which originate from East Asia or America. The genus was named after the French botanist Pierre Magnol (1638-1715). Some magnolia species and their varieties are popular ornamental shrubs, including the tulip magnolia, which is often referred to simply as "magnolia" in Germany.
