autumn
sets the maple on fire
red leaves
Red maple leaves is an acrylic painting in portrait format painted by the artist Karen Kaspar. Many leaves from the Japanese maple tree in warm shades of red and orange glow in the autumn sun.
This work, a combination of painting and haiku, is a joint project by Karen Kaspar (© art) and Marjolein Rotsteeg (© Haiku).
A haiku is a traditional Japanese poetic form consisting of three lines.
Here, the acrylic painting has been supplemented with the haiku in English. The painting is also available without text (see album 'Trees and Leaves').
You can find more paintings with haiku and poems in my albums 'Haiku and Painting English' and 'Haiku and Painting Dutch'. New works are constantly being added to the albums. So keep checking back from time to time!
