About ‘Microcosmos’ by Anneke Blijlevens

Description of the work: This artwork depicts a fascinating spectacle reminiscent of a chemical reaction under a microscope. Cells of varying sizes press against one another, filled with complex textures, sparkles and microbubbles. The contrast between the glowing, lava-like underside and the clear, icy turquoise upper side creates an intriguing tension within the image.
Inspiration:
The inspiration lies in science and the laws of nature: how matter takes shape, how tensions between liquids create structures, and how light refracts on translucent surfaces.
Atmosphere:
Mysterious, wondrous and mesmerising. It challenges the viewer to guess the scale of the object and brings an intellectual, artistic atmosphere to a room. How it came about: Born out of a creative synergy between human and machine. Using targeted text-based command's in Midjourney, the limits of texture and macro-organic forms were explored, after which the composition was manually optimised for an impressive large-format print.

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
