This work was created during a trip to the Greek island of Corfu in September 2023. Around noon, when the sun turned the water into liquid glass, I captured this scene. At first glance, it appears to be a still life of sailboats — but look closer, and you’ll see that each boat tells its own story.
What moved me was the perfect balance between calm and anticipation. The boats are at rest, yet there's a quiet energy in the air — as if a new journey could begin at any moment. The horizon gently fades into the haze, while the masts cut rhythmically through the soft blue. A small dinghy floats beside a catamaran, almost hidden, adding a playful detail that reveals itself only on second glance.
The mood I aimed to capture is one of stillness, freedom, and reflection. This piece breathes peace — the kind of peace you feel when time and destination no longer matter. The soft tones and open composition create a sense of space — in your home and in your mind.
Perfect for lovers of the sea, travel, or simply a quiet moment on the wall.
