Milford Sound is the most famous fjord of the South Island of New Zealand. The fjord is almost 16 kilometers long and is surrounded by steep, wooded cliffs of 1200 meters high. There are a huge number of waterfalls, because here on average about 6 meters of rain falls in about 180 days a year. You feel null when you sail through it with such a large boat. With a little luck you can see seals (on the photo on the left next to the boat on the rocks) and dolphins swimming.
