About the artwork
The Korenmolen Sint-Jan corn mill is a tower mill.
This windmill is located near the village of Oerle, part of Veldhoven.
According to Wikipedia:
The Sint-Jan was built between 1985 and 1991 by the De Jongh family. Parts of a number of demolished windmills were used in the process. Presumably from the 19th century. For example, the octagon comes from the German town of Leezen.
A demolished mill shell from Vught provided the 40,000 stones for the substructure. Construction began on the site in 1987.
I was here towards early evening so there was already some softer light. It stands beautifully in the Kempen landscape among old farms, pastures, croplands and forests. It also now houses a bakery and you can have a delicious lunch.
Recommended to make a stop here during a bike ride or hike.

Once started as an architecture photographer with Robert Oerlemans as my photography docent at the art academy in The Hague.
Later followed by a 4-year art study "visual" at the UCK in Utrecht and a screen printing course at the CKE in Eindhoven.
