Molen de Onvermoeide There was no windmill in Raamsdonksveer until 1890; however, there was a horse mill. The Onvermoeide is the only remaining windmill of the two competing mills that were built a short distance apart; the other mill was called Zeldenrust and was demolished in 1991. The Onvermoeide was owned by the Martens family, who were grinding on motor power as early as 1900 and with an electric motor as early as 1908. The Onvermoeide was actually stationary before World War II. In 1944, a shell exploded in the loft, causing a lot of damage. The mill was dismantled in 1947 and it was not until the late 1960s that a restoration plan was drawn up. Parts for the restoration came from a demolished mill in Rijen, which fitted better in De Onvermoeide than in the mill Zeldenrust. The municipality purchased De Onvermoeide in 1970; restoration was completed in 1974. After the restoration, the mill started running again, and occasionally grinding. In 2008, the mill was in such a condition that turning became over-responsible and the mill was shut down. In 2011/2012, the mill was restored and on 1 September 2012, the mill was put back into operation. Technical details[edit] The Onvermoeide has a 26-metre flight of Old Dutch form.
