The Vlietmolen is a windmill on the Zederikkade in Lexmond in the Dutch municipality of Vijfheerenlanden. It was built for the purpose of draining the Lakerveld polder. The mill operated it together with the Bonkmolen and the vanished Lekkersche Molen' and the also vanished "Rode or Overtogtmolen. The Vlietmolen operated until 1986.

Sometime in 1980 Jan bought his first SLR camera and since that time a camera has always been at his fingertips. His varied work ranges from snapshots of people in his immediate surroundings to landscape, macro and bird photography. He is also the regular photographer of his wife's ballet school and thus regularly at work in the theater.
