This 600-meter long bridge - the Moerputtenbrug - was part of the Langstraat railway line 's-Hertogenbosch-Lage Zwaluwe since 1890. The railway track ran through the wet moorland of the Moerputten, which is why two bridges were built: the Moerputten bridge and the Venkant bridge. After the line was closed in 1972, the bridge has been open to walkers since the beginning of this century.
