About ‘Mole and the Kingfishers’ by Studio Zandman

It's a beautiful spring day, and Mole has just finished a brisk walk. He's resting for a moment at the edge of the babbling brook, his feet dangling delightfully in the cool water. When he takes out his thermos of hot soup, the baby kingfishers come to watch curiously what Mole is up to. He offers them a taste, but they're having none of it. They'll rather wait until their father catches another tasty fish for them!

This is an illustration from my children's book “De mol is dol op oliebol" (The Mole Loves Oliebol), created in Procreate on the iPad. In the book, Mole encounters all sorts of animals, and in each story he eats something delicious. This way, children learn about nature and can try to make the soup that Mole eats in this story.

Studio Zandman is the one-man business of Harald van de Sanden. I graduated as a media designer from HKU and have been working as a designer, game maker and website builder since 1996. Since 2001 as a video editor, animator and director and since 2025 (also) as an illustrator. In doing so, I am my own client, but I am also available for commissioned work.

What are the delivery times?

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
