Two cats and a full moon is a watercolour painting in landscape format by the artist Karen Kaspar.
Two cats sit on the roof of a house and look up into the dark night sky, which is illuminated by a bright yellow round full moon. The two cats can be seen as dark silhouettes from behind, standing out against the bright full moon.
This work, a combination of painting and haiku, is a joint project by Karen Kaspar (© art and Artwork) and Marjolein Rotsteeg (© Haiku).
A haiku is a traditional Japanese poetry form consisting of three lines.
Here the watercolour painting was supplemented with the haiku in English. In my portfolio there is also a variant with the poem in Dutch (see album 'Haiku and Paintings Dutch'). The painting is also available without text (see album 'Cats').
You can find more paintings with haiku and poems in my albums 'Haiku and Painting English' and 'Haiku and Painting Dutch'. New works are constantly being added to the albums. So keep checking back from time to time!
