About ‘Morning hour in a negligee’ by Matthias Stolt

A young woman lies on the bed in a negligee, dreaming of her dream boy. This photo of a pretty blonde was taken in my photography studio and lit with a flash system with reflector umbrellas. The photo was taken with an 85 mm telephoto lens on analogue black-and-white slide film (Agfa Scala) and then scanned.

I worked as a freelance photo designer for 25 years. My focus was on fashion and advertising photography. I am also the author of numerous books and articles in trade magazines.
Before becoming self-employed, I worked in marketing for a large camera manufacturer, where I was in charge of public relations.

I discovered my love of photography during my training as a retoucher. This sparked a desire not only to edit photos, but to take them myself.
