In the heart of Hoi An, the markets come alive at first light. In this photo, a crouching saleswoman, protected by a traditional conical hat, works calmly between her colourful baskets. In front of her, an explosion of fresh flowers - yellow, red and pink - catches the eye as well as the nose. Next to her, a large orange basket is overflowing with soya shoots, ready to be added to a local dish.
Textures mingle: fabrics, petals, plastic baskets, metal scales, worn stools... everything contributes to this scene of authentic life, rooted in Vietnamese tradition. The morning shadow and low-angled light highlight the details, revealing beauty in simplicity. The gestures are precise, repeated, peaceful: a living daily routine, discreet but essential.
This frozen moment tells not only of the richness of the Hoi An market, but also of the central role played by women in the local economy. Between ancestral know-how and human warmth, this scene evokes a true Vietnam, deeply rooted in its customs.
