Müllerthal trail W7, in Echternach
A beautiful and fairly new trail in the heart of Luxembourg. The trail starts in Müllerthal close to the river and, after a steep climb, leads to a wooden hut in the forest. You continue through wild greenery, encountering rock formations and typical regional flora and fauna. The Schwarze Ernz and the surrounding streams are particularly pleasing to the eye. You pass the site of the skeleton of the Loschbour man, who lived here as a hunter-gatherer more than 8000 years ago. The remains of a woman's skeleton have also been found nearby. Finally, you come to the beautiful limestone tuff spring, where a crystal-clear pond is fed by a stream flowing down a rocky point, and finally the famous Schiessentümpel pond with its picturesque stone bridge over the small waterfall.
In the surrounding area, you can take a refreshment
