The Zuiderhaven with the Sint-Michaël church
Zuiderhaven
The Zuiderhaven in the city of Harlingen is a harbor and a street in the harbor area of Harlingen.
In 1644 the Admiralty of Friesland established itself at the Zuiderhaven. In the night of February 13, 1771, the building burned down. The Zuiderhaven is located on the south side of the Oude Buitenhaven and has a length of 500 meters. On the east side near the Rozengracht is the Kleine Sluis. There are 26 national monuments along the Zuiderhaven, including the St. Michael's Church and vicarage (Zuiderhaven 75-77) built in 1881.
