Museum and observatory Sonnenborgh in Utrecht. The Sonnenborgh stronghold is one of the four stone strongholds that Emperor Charles V had constructed in the mid-16th century on the inside of the City's outer moat to defend the city. In 1854, the observatory moved to Sonnenborgh. The photo was taken in the evening of 4 February 2015 and the result of a very long exposure (28 minutes). By using a long shutter speed, you can create an image that didn't exist in reality - Dark Utrecht. This is the name of my series of photos of Utrecht places after sunset.
