"Natural shades of brown: Mirroring still life" is a macro photo of two seed pods taken from a bunch of dried flax. The warm brown tones give a calm and natural feel to the photo.
As these simple seed pods lie on a textured reflective surface, an abstract reflection of the two is created in the ground surface. This creates a beautiful effect. The background (and also ground) Is brown in colour, so the whole picture consists of shades of brown.
Because the two seed pods are sitting with their "noses" towards each other, it looks as if they belong together, as a set. This gives something cosy and sweet to the work.
Because the background has a different shade of brown than the seedpods, they stand out nicely from the background, also thanks to the chosen depth of field. This gives the work a sense of depth and calm.
Beautiful as wall decoration in the waiting room, bedroom, hallway or simply above the sofa. (Also of course beautiful on the wall in a business space, such as a meeting room or waiting room).
