new dawn
the rooster announces it
all day
Rooster is an ink drawing in portrait format drawn by the artist Karen Kaspar. The drawing is drawn with a few minimalist strokes in black ink on a white background. A proud rooster stands on the ground and looks to the left.
This work, a combination of painting and haiku, is a joint project by Karen Kaspar (© art and artwork) and Marjolein Rotsteeg (© Haiku).
A haiku is a traditional Japanese poetry form consisting of three lines.
Here the ink drawing was supplemented with the haiku in English. In my portfolio there is also a variant with the poem in Dutch (see album 'Haiku and Painting Dutch'). The painting is also available without text (see album 'Birds').
You can find more paintings with haiku and poems in my albums 'Haiku and Painting English' and 'Haiku and Painting Dutch'. New works are constantly being added to the albums. So keep checking back from time to time!
