This photo was taken from the top of the Empire State Building in New York with and fisheye lens. This distorts the city into a sphere, making the Big Apple actually round. In the distance, you can even see the Statue of Liberty.

My name is Mirjam Suijkerbuijk and I was born in Roosendaal (North Brabant) in 1972. In daily life, I work as a teacher for foreign-speaking children, but as soon as I can, I go outside with my camera! I photograph all kinds of things, such as architecture, street photography, macro photography and, in recent years, especially a lot of landscapes. I love forests, water and beautiful Dutch skies!
