About ‘Ngo Mon gate in Hué’ by Fromm me pictures

The Ngo Mon Gate is the main entrance to the Imperial City in Hué.

The middle gate used to be for the emperor only. Other visitors had to pass through the doors next to this gate. Above the gate is the Lau Ngu Phung pavilion (pavilion of the five phoenixes). On the first floor, the emperor appeared at important events. Here, Emperor Bao Dai (of the Nguyen dynasty) handed over his seal to Ho Chi Minh's government, and thus the imperial office in Vietnam disappeared.
The second floor was reserved for the emperor's mother and wives. From behind the half-blinded windows, they could watch the outside world without being seen themselves.

In the centre of the complex is the Forbidden Purple City. Here were the private quarters of the imperial family. The city was built along the lines of the court of the Chinese Emperors).

The comlex suffered a lot during the Vietnam War. Particularly during the Tet offensive, much was destroyed and thus little remained. Meanwhile, a start has been made to rebuild everything.

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
