About ‘Nijmegen at low tide’ by Maerten Prins

The Nijmegen skyline with the (reflection of) St Stephen’s Church. The photograph was taken from the Lentse bank. In the foreground is the River Waal. Right at the very front is the water in the little harbour on the Lentse side (at the end of the Veerdam). The water level in the Waal – and therefore also in the little harbour – is extremely low. By using a grey filter, the photograph has a shutter speed of 10 seconds, which softens the sky and water beautifully and makes the clouds more dynamic.
