Together with two girlfriends, I went out to the Wandelbos in Tilburg. We had heard that there would be lots of squirrels there. That certainly turned out to be true!
Not only were there many squirrels, they were also very curious and came very close. If you moved quietly, they soon came to watch. They also just went about their business undisturbed, even when several people were around. In this case, a group of photographers had just settled down next to the tree this squirrel was sitting on. Several large lenses were focused on the critter. Completely undisturbed, it continued to nibble, the nut being the most important thing in the world at that moment.
Passion for photography, where does something like that come from? The beauty is that every photographer will have their own answer. For me it flows out of being able to freeze a moment, step out of the day-to-day rush, and take my time for what I am.. Read more…
