About ‘Northern Gannet in high-key’ by Ron Buist

High-key photo of a Northern Gannet on the German island of Helgoland.

Due to the chosen overexposure, almost no background can be seen and the attention is completely drawn to the strong black lines on the beak of this Gannet. Focusing only on the bird's head further emphasises this.

This picture is very suitable for both bright rooms, where the picture fits in with the light style, and rooms with darker furnishings, where the picture provides an interesting contrast.

Ron Buist is an experienced landscape and nature photographer from the north of the Netherlands. His passion for landscape and nature was sparked early in life. He lived close to a forest and could and in his early years one could find him there quite often. As a schoolboy, he cycled from the village where he lived to the city of Groningen. On his way, he witnessed the flat Dutch landscape and it struck him, that no day was the same.

What are the delivery times?

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
