Loftahammar is a town in the municipality of Västervik in the Småland county and Kalmar län province in Sweden. The place has 432 inhabitants (2005) and an area of 86 hectares. The place is located on a peninsula connected to the mainland by a bridge since 1983.
The village lies on a bay in the middle of the beautiful Norra Tjust archipelago with its rocks and thousands of islands. Despite officially having only 432 inhabitants, the village has gained an important role in the wider area with its own harbour, 3 restaurants, golf course, spa, supermarket, bakery, ferry service through the archipelago and Tourist Info.
