Nude in the tub / Nue au tub - Pierre Bonnard - 1903
A painting by Pierre Bonnard in beautiful blue colours. Bonnard, a French artist, is not easy to classify by style. In essence, he has developed independently from the rest of the world. Bonnard was a quiet man, introverted. He lived in seclusion, together with Maria Boursin (who allowed himself to be called Marthe de Meligny), his partner. With Marthe he shared his life from the age of 25 until his death. As a result, Bonnard made more than 350 nude portraits of Marthe, mostly in the form of nudes in the bathroom.
