Digital artwork inspired by the picture of a very special mountain lion.
It was P-22, a young male who had miraculously managed to cross two major highways from his birthplace in the Santa Monica Mountains to the tourist-filled Hollywood Hills.
His name, P-22, reflects he was the 22nd puma to get a tracking collar as part of the National Park Service's research. A remote camera captured P-22 roaming Griffith Park in Los Angeles in 2013.
