Tips for use

Point your camera at the floor or a piece of furniture first, then move it slowly up towards the wall. A bare white wall is hard for your phone to recognise.
Move your phone gently from side to side. Holding it still or waving it around quickly does not help.
Make sure there is enough light. In a dark room your phone has nothing to lock onto.

About ‘Ode to Petat’ by Anton Delabie

An enlarged portrait of Petatje, a pot-bellied pig, with a paper king on her back. Influences from medieval prints are evident in the depiction of the grass, the background and the framing. This refers to ancient legends passed down through the generations, which have strayed further and further from reality over time.

Anton Delabie is a Belgian illustrator and animator from Kortrijk. He obtained his Bachelor’s degree in Visual Design and his Master’s degree in Audiovisual Arts, Animation Film, at Luca School of Arts. In his work, he often focuses on the repulsive. Grotesque characters and bodies, and their irrational, eccentric behaviour, take precedence over the ‘beautiful’ and the ‘pretty’.
