The Old Harbour is - as the name suggests - the oldest harbour in Rotterdam, dating back to the 14th century. In the Old Harbour, many historic ships of the Rotterdam Harbour Museum are moored. The view of this old fleet gives this historic port a unique atmosphere. You will also find a small historic shipyard in the Oude Haven, where ships are restored to their former glory. The Old Harbour is surrounded by Rotterdam's characteristic mix of historic buildings on the one hand and modern architecture on the other. In Rotterdam's Old Harbour, for instance, the ultra-modern Cube Houses go hand in hand with the historic merchant houses, which are among Rotterdam's older buildings. This contrast always makes for great photos!
