About ‘On the beach on Ameland’ by Corine Maas

During a photography bootcamp on Ameland, we endured many weather conditions. One of the assignments was to make a triptych of life on the beach. It was a real challenge because on the very day we had to do this assignment, it was raining cats and dogs. It was also blowing tremendously hard, leaving us sandblasted on the beach. This meant I had to keep my camera out of the wind and used my rainsleeve for the first time. Grumbling at the weather and soaking wet from the rain, I returned to the hotel that first day, disappointed with the result. In the evening, however, the weather report came in that it would be nice the next that. With the whole group, we therefore got up early on Sunday to go to the North Beach. We enjoyed the beautiful sunrise and the play of light with the sand, water and beach. The wind was still blowing hard, blowing the sand across the beach. Clouds in the sky alternated and created this picture. To represent the feeling of the rainy Saturday, I merged two photos into one: the wind and clouds on the sunny day and the rippling water that was safe to photograph on the rainy Saturday.

What are the delivery times?

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
