Among photographers, this is a very popular spot. Along the Lauwersmeer, this little tower peaks along the shore facing northeast. Although it is popularly called a lighthouse, it is slightly different. This turret serves as a gauge. Nevertheless, it is very photogenic. Especially during sunrise, this turret is at its best. Surrounded by endless water and equipped with a nice footbridge, it gives the photo character. A play of lines and its own twist on the photo is what makes it the photographer's own. Also the chosen point of view. It shows well that it is a rather small tower and gives a small glimpse behind the scenes. As a photographer, I like to do what others don't.
