The mechanical typewriter marked the beginning of tinkering. You used to have to use the typewriter to create documents, complete with formulas that sometimes consisted of 5 or 6 lines. Later, it became an electric typewriter and with both machines you still had to draw the flow charts with the pen. Then came the first word processor with floppy's, those big ones. You then had to make the flowchart with the word processor and that was quite a puzzle. Often the papers were lying on the floor to check whether the flowchart also continued neatly to the next page. So that old typewriter brings back memories, not only of the typewriter itself but also of the typing room that consisted of 10 to 15 ladies. It was cosy, but not always. Still, they are beautiful and special memories and a lot has grown out of that typewriter, looking at this work of art. The colours of this still life are blue, orange, brown, lilac and cream.
As an artist, I like to enter a colorful world especially the world of flowers. This colourful and so positive world appeals to me enormously. Flowers spread a positive atmosphere because of the colors and the beautiful and diverse shapes and one can never get enough of that!.. Read more…
