About ‘Owl Tree’ by Miriam van Dun
I was allowed to photograph these friends in one of the tall ash trees behind my photography studio. They’d kept me awake all night with their calls. For hours on end, they make a high-pitched, squeaking ‘pii-ih’ sound, which actually sounds most like the noise of a poorly oiled door hinge.
