About ‘Oystercatcher hunting for worms’ by Johannes Jongsma

On the north beach of Dune (Helgoland), this oystercatcher was hunting for food (worms).
Amazing how the birds discover the worms, sometimes the beak deep into the ground to pull out the worm.
Oystercatcher was not at all shy and just walked past us.
Regularly the worm was found and eaten.
Wonderful to see how the worm is…
