The Aljafería is a palace surrounded by a fortress, built in the second half of the 11th century in Zaragoza as the seat of the Banu Hud dynasty during the reign of Abu Jaffar al-Muqtadir. The palace exemplifies the heyday of taifa Zaragoza. It is a fairy tale to walk around it, its Moorish influences giving you the feeling of One Thousand and One Nights. The regional parliament , the Cortes also has its seat in the castle.
