In December 2021, Siargao (Philippines) was devastated by a so-called 'super-typhoon'. The island could finally be rebuilt after COVID and then it was nature that did damage. 4 months later, I got to visit this island and was shocked. People were living on the streets or in shelters, no longer had homes or were working 24/7 to rebuild what had been broken. Nature was also severely affected. The island that was once full of palm trees was broken. Fortunately, nature is strong and can repair itself. So it was nice to see that these palm trees were growing back again, but to this day I would like to go back again to see what it looks like now. This palm grove was one of the few places that had not been completely broken under the typhoon.
