The Panther Chameleon is a real climber and rarely is seen on the ground. Its food consists of insects and other small animals, this species also sometimes catches small birds or lizards. Chameleons are known to change colour for camouflage, but these colourations are also important for communication. This species is endemic to Madagascar and some small surrounding islands. Its habitat consists of dry and moist tropical and subtropical forests. The species is also found in human-adapted regions such as gardens and plantations.
