About ‘Papaya Love’ by Saskia de Wal

This work is inspired by a modern bacchanal: a sensory feast of abundance, seduction and pure abandon. Fruit, colour, the body and chaos come together in an image that feels at once playful, sensual and almost ceremonial. The rich composition, full of juicy details, glossy textures and intense colours, invites you to linger. Up close, you constantly discover new elements, whilst from a distance the whole forms a powerful and almost surreal statement. The inspiration for this work comes from the classical bacchanalia, the exuberant festivals in honour of Bacchus, god of wine, pleasure and ecstasy. In this contemporary interpretation, I have translated that energy into photography: an explosion of abundance in which beauty, lust and chaos converge.

I wanted to create an image that is not merely decorative, but evokes a feeling. A work that stimulates, surprises and brings a touch of decadence to a space. The combination of intense colours, organic forms and sensual symbolism makes this artwork a real eye-catcher for a bold interior.

This is a piece for lovers of bold art, rich detail and images that are not only beautiful but also tell a story of desire, abundance and the art of enjoyment.

What are the delivery times?

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
