Fold a little boat out of white paper and put it on colored paper against a white background and wonderful things happen. White is not white. A white boat changes color under the influence of its surroundings, very subtly. Everything is relative, including white, and nothing is what it seems.
This is a pastel drawing of a paper boat, folded as it is in origami, placed on a green and red sheet of paper. This creates reflection on the paper boat and the background.
