Two flowers on slender stems, supported by large, round lotus leaves. I built up the background in blocks-dark green, sage, a hint of ochre-as if to give depth without real shadow. This work is from the Pastel Flora series.
This is perhaps the most "peaceful" work of the series. It looks pleasantly away above a bed or in a reading corner. With its mix of cool and warm greens, it pairs nicely with oak, walnut or simply white walls. For me, it feels like a walk along a pond: you hear nothing, and yet all sorts of things are happening.
The atmosphere is calm and summery. Ideal above a sofa, but also beautiful in a bedroom or yoga corner. The piece works well with light wood and sand tones; a green accent wall may also do. It's one of those prints that nods every day: calm down, breathe, keep going.
