About ‘Pea beans (Stink bean)’ by Eduard Lamping
The petéh bean (Indonesian: petai or pete, Thai: sato) (Parkia speciosa) is a legume quite common in Indonesian cuisine, but also used in other cuisines in Southeast Asia. The bean has a very strong smell (and is also called "stink bean") and gives a very particular aroma to the dishes in which it is processed.
