Tips for use

Point your camera at the floor or a piece of furniture first, then move it slowly up towards the wall. A bare white wall is hard for your phone to recognise.
Move your phone gently from side to side. Holding it still or waving it around quickly does not help.
Make sure there is enough light. In a dark room your phone has nothing to lock onto.
The artwork appears at its true size, so you cannot scale it in AR. Want a different size? Close AR and pick the size on the product page.
Still nothing? Open this page in Chrome or Safari. AR does not work in the browser of apps such as Instagram or Facebook.

About ‘Peace and space at ' 't Oerd'’ by Peter Kuipers

This photograph was taken at sunset in the dunes of 't Oerd, a place where tranquillity, nature and open space come together. As the sun slowly disappeared behind the horizon, a unique interplay of warm light, long shadows and soft colours emerged. What makes this place so special to me is the pure silence and the feeling that nature is still allowed to take its own course here. In the photograph, you see not only the vast dune landscape, but also the small details such as the swaying marram grass, the subtle textures in the sand and the glow of the evening light, which lend the image extra depth. The inspiration for this work stemmed from the unique atmosphere that Ameland evokes. During these walks through the dunes, I always experience a sense of freedom and slowing down. I wanted to capture that feeling in this image. The warm tones and soft light create a calm and almost dreamlike atmosphere. The beauty of this part of Ameland is that hardly anyone visits it. This ensures that the structures remain in perfect condition.

This photograph brings a calm, natural atmosphere to an interior. The piece fits beautifully in spaces where tranquillity and warmth are key, and appeals to people who love nature, travel and the unique beauty of the Dutch coastal landscape.
